The first level is based around a quick buy and sell approach which after reading the first few pages, it is undeniably clear that you can make a few hundred dollars per week using this painfully basic approach alone...and that's if you're lazy.
That's not a guess either - the evidence is laid out right before your eyes. Sure, some "flips" might not make you much money, but just using this one method alone, it's hard to see how you could possibly NOT make cash from day one...perhaps this won't make you millions, but it's a great place to start!
After reading about this approach however, you get the feeling that you can crank out lots of "deals" on the hour (and that is even clearly suggested in the guide) but you may find that this is made to sound easier than it is in reality.
That is not to say it doesn't work and won't make you money, it's just that you will need to practice and get really accustomed to the ins and outs before you start making multiple deals.
In fact, after reading the first section, it seems like you're going to need at least a week to do the initial research and you'll need to fill out some sort of spreadsheet so that you have the data required before you do your first flip (so this is clearly not for the lazy people).
Essentially, this first model does work, but there's a lot of work involved if you want to make a lot of money using this strategy alone...great as a part time job though!
The next model is called the "Advanced Hunter Marketing" method where you basically research a market, negotiate a deal to buy an underdeveloped site in that market, then do a full renovation on the site to triple, or even quadruple the site's value.
This is much more advanced and takes time, but the 6 steps that you are taught in this method are proven in the real estate investing world (and this is no different in principle to that).
This second method requires more upfront capital to invest, which you should have by now if you've been using the first method to generate quick cash from simple site flips. But don't risk a penny until you're confident with the overall process and have a good feel for what sells and what doesn't.
Again, this is not an overnight process as they make you feel, but will work just like a real business once you get your bearing set straight.
As I went through some of the sections, some of the info is painfully obvious (such as how to navigate a website) and some requires a little due diligence and common sense (when it comes to making your investments)...so there is a mixture of levels of understanding involved, which was a little frustrating until I just ended up skipping over parts.
Again, it's far better to go into this with a laid back, level headed business approach than to be chasing a few dollars a day here and there...you'll make better decisions and will learn more from the guide as a result.
The more advanced models of site flipping explained in Site Rush are more risky and require more upfront money, but there is a lot of detailed steps explained showing you how to gauge the value of a site, whether the details that are listed are legit and add up and also whether there is any real long term potential in the market/website overall.
This info is really in depth and helps out tremendously as you look to part with more cash, but don't expect to get your usage out of this area of the guide until you've really got your feet wet with the basic methods first.
In fact, it's easy to be tempted to move ahead in the guide before you've really got a firm grasp on the basics, so be warned!
The final method is based around taking your content based websites and turning them into membership based businesses, because they sell for much more than anything else!
This requires a lot more work and money as there is more to pour into this, but it can also be outsourced just like everything else. There are some good membership ideas here that uncover a lot of great ideas for building membership sites, whether you intend to sell them or not!
It's clear to see that whether you stick with the basics or end up moving onto the incredibly more in depth and higher potential methods, the principles behind them all share the same solid, well practiced business investing tactics alongside well advised internet marketing strategies.
The material is essentially blending extensive internet marketing advice that some of the better known eBooks have taught in years gone by and blending it with wise investment opportunities...so that instead of sitting on all your websites, you are getting in and out relatively quickly with no long term ties or commitments.
Many people will struggle to see the benefit of selling a perfectly good website, but I can see why it's done...
...no ties, no need to build from scratch, can be outsourced, can set you up for years through one simple sale, no need to risk the site losing popularity or sales in years to come (you've already made your money from it!)...and those are just a few of the many advantages.
The other things which make this appealing is that you can literally act as a middleman and work from anywhere in the world...you don't need software, offices, stock or staff...just like being an affiliate, except it is more predictable to make more money in a buyer's market. |
